Abstract

          This research was conducted at MTs Istiqlal Jakarta with the aim of finding out the implementation of the independent learning curriculum and its impact on the learning process at the school. The research methods used are observation, interviews and document analysis. The research results show that the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at MTs Istiqlal Jakarta has provided benefits in increasing students' creativity and learning motivation. Apart from that, teachers also feel positive changes in learning and assessment approaches. However, there are still several obstacles in implementing the independent learning curriculum, such as limited teacher understanding regarding making teaching tools, lack of assistance in implementing the independent learning curriculum. Therefore, further efforts are needed to improve and optimize the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at the junior high school level. It is hoped that this paper will provide insight and inspiration for readers in developing innovative and effective learning approaches in schools.
